Christophe Galtier’s successor as coach of the Paris Saint Germain will be announced and presented “next week”, a source familiar with the negotiations told AFP this Tuesday.
“The new coach should be ready next week, with the last details settled,” explained the source.
Former national team coach Spain Luis Enrique appears as a big favorite to take over the team.
In early June, at the end of a complicated season both in sports and off-field, despite winning the 11th title of the French ChampionshipGaltier was informed by the board that he would not continue at the club.
It was the first time in PSG’s “Qatari era” that a coach had been in charge of the team in just one season.
Negotiations for the termination of Galtier’s contract are still ongoing. Sought last week, the coach’s lawyer did not respond to contacts from AFP.
