Relationships of the current president of the IIHF [Люка Тардифа] with Russia are very different from those that they had with Rene Fasel, ”Pluzeys considered. He added that the LHF intends to file a protest against the transfer of goalkeeper Janis Kalnins to Amur Khabarovsk, as the player is against the decision of the Latvian government.

In August, Kalnins had problems with the transition to Amur. At first, the Latvian Ice Hockey Federation blocked his transfer to Amur, but on August 27, the hockey player received permission to play in the league.
