Ballon d’Or 2021: schedules and TV channels to see the delivery ceremony live today

The French magazine France Football established a list of 30 applicants for the men’s award and a score for the women’s one.

Thirty players aspire to the men’s Ballon d’Or and about twenty footballers to the women’s award, and the winners, chosen by vote of a group of international journalists, will meet this Monday in Paris.

The French magazine France Football, creator of the Ballon d’Or in 1956, established a list of 30 applicants for the men’s award and a score for the women’s award.

Players are chosen for their class and talent, but also for their track record during the calendar year, this time favoring the winners of the Eurocup (Italy) and the Champions League (Chelsea).

Jury

A jury made up of 180 journalists, representing as many countries, vote for the men’s Golden Ball and 50 specialists in women’s football do so for the women’s award.

Voting closed on October 24.

Scale

Each journalist votes for five players, with 6 points for the first, 4 for the second, 3 for the third, 2 for the fourth and 1 for the fifth.

In case of equality of points at the end of the voting, the highest number of first places obtained decides.

Yashin Trophy (best goalkeeper)

The same jury of 180 people votes for the Yashin Trophy for the best goalkeeper, from a list of 10 applicants.
