Fitness expert describes walking technique that improves posture and strengthens leg muscles
Fitness expert Joanna Hall talked about posture-improving walking techniques. Her words are quoted by The Guardian.
According to the specialist, it is necessary to pay attention to how the foot rolls from heel to toe during movement, and to work out the rise more actively. “Imagine you have a sticker on your sole and you want to show the writing on it to a person standing behind you,” Hall described. She added that this movement is similar to how they discard the peel lying on the ground.
The expert noted that with the right walking technique while walking, you can strengthen the muscles of the legs, improve posture and increase the overall speed of movement. At the same time, according to Hall, the load on the joints is reduced.
Earlier, ultramarathon coach Alexander Elkonin explained the breathing technique while running. He stated that breathing should be free, deep and rhythmic, while the upper body should be relaxed.
