Vinicius Jr becomes the third most valuable player in the world

“Alfredo di Stéfano always told me that I had to believe in my dream, enjoy every moment of Real Madrid and that’s what I do every day and in games. I feel very comfortable and I am lucky to be able to play for the best club in the world”, said Benzema, when collecting his award.

“The Di Stéfano award is an important trophy for me and I am grateful, like the rest, to my teammates, the fans, the club and the president,” said the French striker, who believed that in the future his teammates as Vinicius Júnior or Rodrygo Goes could pick them up too.

“Vinicius and Rodrygo, although they are two youngsters, have many games and could have these trophies at home”, he confessed.

Finally, Benzema spoke about his goals for this season.

“This year is going to be difficult but I am looking forward to it. I want to do more than I have done before. I want to win the League, score a lot of goals and, above all, enjoy myself on the pitch. If I do it, the fans will enjoy it because we play for them”, he concluded. (D)
