The Versailles prosecutor’s office told AFP on Tuesday that a fifth man suspected of involvement in the November 2021 assault of football player Kheira Hamraoui has been in custody since Monday. The statement confirms the information given by the JDD.
In the case, the player Aminata Diallo was accused of “aggravated violence”, being considered by the investigators as the instigator of the violent attack against his ex-partner, Kheira Hamraoui. Diallo was placed under judicial control. The player denies any involvement in the attack that made the Paris Saint Germainhis former team, civil part of the case.
In a recent investigative report consulted by AFP, the detained man could be the fifth wanted by the judicial police, according to the Versailles prosecutor. This same document also points to the participation of a sixth person, who would have an intermediary role.
Last week, four men born between 1999 and 2003 were charged with the same offenses as Diallo. Two of them are in detention and the other two are at liberty under judicial control.
On November 4, 2021, in Chatou, France, Kheira Hamraoui was beaten with a metal bar and hit in the legs by two men. The aggression took place in front of Aminata Diallo, after a team dinner, while the two were driving back together. As a result of the attack, Diallo was arrested on the first occasion, before being released without charge.
Without a team since the end of her contract with PSG in June 2022, the player was finally charged on September 16 and placed under judicial control. Diallo had to post a bail of 30 thousand euros.
Her judicial control requires her to live at her father’s house in her hometown of Grenoble, to report to the police station weekly and also forbids contact with PSG players and staff. The judicial investigation, opened on account of the assault, was extended to “organized fraud” in March. No charges have been made in this connection with the investigation.
Upon being contacted, Hamraoui’s lawyer declined to comment.
