Eraso, Spanish sub’23 time trial champion; Oyarbide sixth and Isasi seventh in the elite category

The Basque cyclists did a great job in the time trials of the Spanish Championship. This Friday, June 23, the races against the clock in the sub’23 and elite women’s categories were held in Madrid.
In absolute category Lourdes Oyarbide and Ziortza Isasi were sixth and seventh respectivelywhile in the sub’23 Idoia Eraso revalidated the title of champion of Spain; In addition, in that category the podium was totally Basque behind the second place for Nahia Imaz and the third of Eneritz Vadillo.
In elite, the cyclists faced a course of 32 kilometers and Mireia Benito won the victory with a time of 43 minutes and 20 seconds. He second place corresponded to Mavi Garcia who was a second behind the winner. Sandra Alonso ranked third 30 seconds from Benito.
the alavesa Lourdes Oyarbide (Movistar) was sixth with a time of 45 minutes and 13 seconds, ending the test one minute and 53 seconds behind the champion. For her part, the Biscayan Ziortza Isasi (Bepink) finished seventh with a record of 46 minutes and 30 seconds.
In sub’23 the Basque runners exhibited themselves. Idoia Eraso (Laboral Kutxa Euskadi Foundation) was proclaimed champion with a time of 46 minutes and 48 seconds. Thus, the one from Pamplona revalidated the title it obtained last year. Second place went to Nahia Imaz (Sopela Team); the altsasuarra finished 13 seconds behind Eraso. Third place went to the Gorliz cyclist Eneritz Vadillo (Laboral Kutxa Fundación Euskadi) which ended 15 seconds behind the champion.
