Police officers detained 408 fans following the results of the 16th round match of the Russian Premier League (RPL) against Zenit. This figure in Telegram was named by journalist Sevastian Terletsky.
According to him, law enforcement officers told him about this number of detainees. RIA Novosti also cited a commentary from the Moscow Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They said that a number of citizens were detained for various offenses. What offenses in question and how many people were detained were not specified.
The incident took place on Sunday 28 November after the end of the match. At first, the police did not let the fans out of the A-podium of the VEB Arena stadium for about an hour, and then carried out a massive arrest of the fans. At the end of the match on this podium, the fans used pyrotechnics.
