New coach of América (MEX), the Brazilian André Jardine was officially introduced this week and gave a press conference alongside his coaching staff.
After a year and a half in Mexico in charge of Atlético de San Luis, the 49-year-old coach said he was honored to be quoted to take over the Mexican capital club, thanked the trust and saw his work being valued in the country.
“It’s an honor to be here, to defend this institution with such a huge crowd. Anyone who is in football works their whole lives to have a chance like this and I don’t want to let that slip away. I felt honored from the first moment I got my name.” associated with América”, commented Jardine, in a press conference.
“I felt that I started to have weight in Mexican football and that makes me want to move forward,” he added.

André Jardine arrives at América with the mission of putting the Mexican team back on the path to winning titles. For this, he asked for the support of the fans to reach this goal.

Still in pre-season, André Jardine will have a few more days of preparation and training until his Liga MX debut, scheduled for June 30th, against Juárez (MEX). The ball rolls at 22:00 (Brasília time), at Estádio Azteca.
