Fighter Vartanyan said that Mineev will be able to continue his career after participating in a special operation
Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Eduard Vartanyan assessed the chances of compatriot Vladimir Mineev, who received the summons, to continue his career after participating in a special operation in Ukraine. His words are quoted by RBC.
“He will serve and resume his career. He can only get hurt. The main thing is not to get killed. This is the routine of hostilities, ”the athlete said, emphasizing that Mineev’s choice must be respected, and refused to talk about whether he supports or condemns him.
Earlier, Mineev spoke about receiving the summons. He said that he would go to the military registration and enlistment office, as he falls under the first category. The athlete added that he was a paratrooper, and also underwent military and contract service.
In October 2021, Mineev defeated Magomed Ismailov by knockout in their second bout at the AMC Fight Nights tournament. He held onto the organization’s middleweight championship belt. In total, Mineev won 16 victories in MMA with a single defeat and one draw.
