Russian MMA fighter Alexander Emelianenko said he quit drinking alcohol
Russian mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) Alexander Emelianenko on his page on the social network VKontakte answered the question about drinking alcohol after losing to compatriot Vyacheslav Datsik.
“I draw conclusions from my actions. I will keep practicing and practicing. And most importantly, I don’t drink, don’t worry. Tomorrow I will go to the gym. I gave up alcohol, ”said the athlete.
Emelianenko thanked the fans for their support and added that he would be able to defeat Datsik in the next fight.
On September 25, in the main fight of the Hardcore FC league, held in Moscow according to boxing rules, Datsik knocked out his opponent. Emelianenko missed a left to the head in the 12th second, and the referee stopped the fight. After the fight, Datsik asked the audience for forgiveness for the fact that “the show did not work out.”
Emelianenko is known for his performances in Pride, M-1 Global, WFCA. In total, the 41-year-old fighter had 38 fights in MMA. He won 28 victories and suffered nine defeats, another fight with his participation ended in a draw.
