Pichincha, Club Japan, Guayas and Napo win in the kata of the National Karate Championship | Other Sports | sports

The competitions were held in categories 7-9 and 10-11 years at the Guayas Sports Federation Complex, located in Pascuales.

At the beginning of the competitions of katas of the National Karate Championship, Pichincha and the club Japan (Quito) they seized two gold medals each; while Guayas and Napo they hung one.

In the category 7-9 years, males, the best exposure of Habel Portilla, from the Japan club, allowed him to finish first and seize the gold medal; while Carlos Cueva, from Pichincha, he kept the silver; and the bronze was distributed Cristopher Pozo, from Guayas, and Logan Bravo, del club Bravo´s Shotokan Karate do (BSK), from Guayas.

For its part, in the women’s events, the victory went to Renata Idrovo, de Pichincha; the silver medal reached her Amelia Pintado, from the Japan club; Ciará Morán, from the BSK club, next to Dana Caiza, from Pichincha, they got bronze.

The Guayas team with Ricardo Moncayo obtained the gold medal in the series of the 10-11 years, men; while the silver medal reached her Axel Vélez, from Manabí; and they hung the bronze Said Vega, from Pichincha, and Alexander Figueroa, from the BSK club.

The pichinchana Amelia Paez seized the gold medal in the series 10-11 years of the ladies; left the second box to Camila Vargas, from the Japan club; while the bronze they put it on Sara Cuasapaz, from Pichincha, and María Paz Vera, from the Japan club.

The men’s team competitions from 8 to 11 years old were dominated by the Japan club; the second place was occupied by Santa Elena; and the bronze went to the Yamabuji and Tigres clubs, both from Pichincha.

In the women’s events, Napo’s team reached the top, the second position was occupied by Pichincha and the bronze metals were distributed by the club Ika and Tigres.
