She said that now the 76-year-old coach feels good, her health is in order.

“She’s doing great, we’re watching TV, the concert with her husband is on, so everything is fine with us,” she commented on the information.

Information about the coach’s hospitalization was published by Moskovsky Komsomolets. The publication writes that she became ill on June 19. According to the newspaper, Tarasova’s assistant called an ambulance to a cottage village in the Odintsovo district. The well-deserved athlete and coach worsened the disease, aggravated by high blood pressure and heart damage, writes “MK” without reference to sources.

Tarasova received the title of Honored Coach of the USSR in 1975. In 2008, she was inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame. Among her students are Olympic champions Irina Rodnina and Alexei Yagudin.
