The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has confirmed that searches have been carried out at the headquarters of the organizing committee of the 2024 Olympic Games. The comment of the organization leads RIA Novosti.
“We know that today the police raided the headquarters of the organizing committee of the Games in Paris. We have been informed that they are fully cooperating with the authorities in this matter,” the IOC responded to the situation.
Earlier on June 20, searches were reported in an office in Saint-Denis. According to Le Parisien, the events are carried out by employees appointed by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office of France. It is noted that the police are looking for information about the potential illegal receipt of benefits when concluding contracts within the framework of the organization of the Games.
The Paris Olympic Games are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
