Indicted for racketeering and involvement in a criminal association, Mathias appears again alone, wearing a black T-shirt and reading aloud several messages.
He explains that the enigmatic videos with several of the messages published on his Twitter account, on the night of Thursday to Friday, were recorded beforehand and that their publication was scheduled in case he was not “free”.
Mathias Pogba, 32, continues with his accusations against Paul, 29, who filed a complaint with the Turin Prosecutor’s Office before the case became public in late August, when his older brother published the first videos.
On this occasion, Mathias goes more into the details of the facts for which he reproaches Paul, especially in relation to his family. He also directly attacks Rafaela Pimenta, the Juventus player’s lawyer. Contacted by AFP, Rafaela’s office did not respond.
Mathias Pogba brings up the subject of witchcraft again, explaining that his brother wanted to “curse” his teammate Kylian Mbappé, in the context of the 2019 Champions League return game between Paris Saint-Germain, Mbappé’s club, and Manchester United. , where Paul Pogba played that season.
In addition to Mathias Pogba, four other men were charged with extortion with a weapon, kidnapping in a gang and criminal association, and were preventively arrested in the case.
After testifying to investigators about the kidnapping events on the night of March 19-20, 2022, Paul Pogba said he had fallen into a trap of his childhood friends, armed with rifles. The player raised the hypothesis that his brother was acting “under pressure” from people who wanted to extort money from him.
