Japan and the United States entered the field this Friday, in the final preparations before the World Cup. The Japanese team won the friendly held at Esprit Arena, Germany, 2-0.
The first goal was scored in the 24th minute of the first half, with Daichi Kamada. In the final stage, Mitoma came off the bench to score the second and seal the victory, in the 43rd minute.
This was the third-to-last challenge for the Japanese before the World Cup. In its next commitment, the team faces Ecuador, also in Germany. The game takes place next Tuesday at 8:55 am (Brasília time).
After the confrontation, the Asians go to Dubai in a duel against Canada, but only on November 17, on the eve of the team’s debut in the World Cup. The first match is scheduled for the 23rd, against Germany, for group E, which still has Spain and Costa Rica.
The Americans, on the other hand, have just one more commitment before the Cup, also next Tuesday, but to face Saudi Arabia, in Spanish territory. The final departure is scheduled to take place at 15:00.
The US team is in Group B of the World Cup, alongside Wales, Iran and England. The team’s first game in Qatar will be against the Welsh on 21 November.
