El Periódico: Dani Alves rape verdict to be announced in autumn 2023
The court of Barcelona has made a statement in the case of the most titled football player in the world, Dani Alves, accused of rape. It is reported by Sport.es with reference to El Periodico.
According to the source, the verdict in this case will be announced in the fall of 2023 – in October or November. It is noted that before this there will be a final hearing, at which the versions of both sides will be heard.
Alves was arrested on 20 January. The alleged victim of the football player reported that he locked her in the bathroom of the Sutton nightclub, where he beat and raped her. Doctors confirmed that the girl had injuries indicating resistance.
Alves became the champion of France, Italy, Spain and won the national cups of these countries. As part of the Brazilian national team, the defender won the Olympic Games and the World Youth Championship, and also won the America’s Cup and the Confederations Cup twice each.
