Mundo Deportivo: Jordi Alba agrees contract details with Inter Miami

Former Barcelona captain Jordi Alba will move to Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami. It is reported by Mundo Deportivo.

According to the publication, the Spanish defender has already agreed on the details of the contract with the new team, which is owned by former England international David Beckham. It is noted that the Americans hope to sign an agreement soon after the completion of the League of Nations, and in addition, to transfer Sergio Busquets, who also played for Barcelona.

On June 7, Argentine striker Lionel Messi announced his move to Inter Miami. The three-year agreement is expected to be officially signed on 1 July. Since 2021, Messi has been playing for the French PSG.

The departure of Alba from Barcelona became known on May 24. The club and the 34-year-old player reached an agreement on the early termination of the contract, which was supposed to expire at the end of the 2023/2024 season.

Alba is a six-time Spanish champion, five-time Cup winner and four-time Spanish Super Cup winner. He also has won the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup. He has been playing for the Catalans since 2012.
