Russian MMA fighter Arman Tsarukyan vowed to crush UFC champion Islam Makhachev
Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Arman Tsarukyan promised to crush his compatriot, the champion of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) Islam Makhachev. The athlete’s words are quoted by the promotion’s YouTube channel.
On the night of June 18, Tsarukyan defeated the Brazilian Joaquim Silva and after the fight spoke about the desired opponents for the next fight. “I am ready to fight Islam Makhachev. Last time I was given three weeks. Give me eight and I will crush him,” he said. The fighter added that Americans Beneil Dariush and Michael Chandler are also preferred options for him.
Tsarukyan faced Silva at UFC on ESPN 47 in Las Vegas (USA). The Russian won by technical knockout in the second round.
This victory was the 20th in his career for Tsarukyan with three defeats. In 2019, they already met with Makhachev. Then Islam turned out to be stronger by a unanimous decision of the judges. Silva has 14 wins and five losses.
