Jon Rahm did not have a good day on the second day of the US Openthird ‘major’ of the season, and after brush removal he stayed far from the best; exactly 12 goals behind leader Ricky Fowler.
The one from Barrika (Bizkaia) with a 73 hit card, three over par field. That way, is in position number 49 of the table and very far from the candidates for the title.
The Basque suffered to make the cut, again choking on ‘bogeys’ on holes twelve and seventeen, as on Thursday. To this he added four more in four, seven, eleven and eighteen. He brushed the ‘birdie’ on the last hole, hitting the flag, which would have been a great end to a fateful day, but he ended it with a ‘bogey’ when missing the last ‘putt’. It was the sixth of the day for him and with this blow the day ended 12 behind the leader.
