Ja Morant, suspended for 25 games due to weapons, apologizes to the NBA and Memphis
National Basketball Association (NBA) Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has commented on a 25-game suspension. His words are quoted by journalist Adrian Wojnarowski in Twitter.
“I had time to reflect, and I realized how much pain I caused. I want to apologize to the NBA, the Grizzlies, my teammates and the city of Memphis.”
Earlier it became known that the NBA disqualified Morant for re-demonstrating weapons on social networks. In March, the player was already suspended for eight games for this violation. It is noted that the basketball player is also prohibited from participating in any league or team activities until the sentence expires.
Morant has been with Memphis since 2019. He was a two-time NBA All-Star in 2022 and 2023, and was named the league’s Most Improved Player in 2022.
