The head of the Ukrainian Football Association, Andriy Pavelko, was taken into custody for 60 days

The head of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), Andriy Pavelko, was arrested. It is reported by FootballHub.

The Shevchenkovsky District Court of Lviv decided to take Pavelko into custody for 60 days – until August 14, 2023. The pledge made earlier, according to the source, will be transferred in favor of the state.

In November 2022, Pavelko was arrested by the Kyiv Pechersk Court. Then the UAF made a bail in the amount of 9.88 million hryvnia, thanks to which the functionary avoided being taken into custody.

Pavelko is a suspect in a criminal case of misappropriation of international aid funds intended for the construction of an artificial grass plant.

Pavelko has headed the UAF since March 2015. In February 2023, he was temporarily removed from his post. Since 2019, he has also been a member of the executive committee of the Union of European Football Associations.
