Silva called six months in Russia one of the worst periods in his life. He recalled that after moving to Dynamo Moscow during pre-season training, he became ill. Doctors discovered progressive tuberculosis in the athlete and wanted to perform an operation on the lung, but it was decided to transfer him to a clinic in Portugal for further treatment.
“I didn’t know if I could ever play football again. I just dreamed that it would be like this, but I was not sure, ”Silva said. It was a really tough time, he says.
Silva moved to Dynamo from Porto in July 2005. For six months, he did not play a single match in Russia, and in January 2006 he was loaned to the Brazilian Fluminense, who then bought him out. Later, the footballer played for Milan and PSG, and since 2020 he has been defending the colors of Chelsea, with whom he won the Champions League.
