Sports Zone: PSG want to sign Mohamed Salah from Liverpool to replace Lionel Messi
Paris Saint-Germain have found a replacement for Argentine striker Lionel Messi. This is reported Sports Zone.
According to the publication, 31-year-old Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah can be signed to the position of the Argentinean. It is alleged that PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has already met with the Egyptian footballer to discuss the transfer. It is noted that they have been actively communicating for six months – since the end of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
On June 7, Messi announced a move to American Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami, owned by former England international David Beckham. The three-year agreement is expected to be officially signed on 1 July. Since 2021, Messi has been playing for the French PSG.
Salah has been with Liverpool since 2017. Together with the team, he won the Champions League, the Premier League, the Cup and the Super Cup of the country. In the 2022/2023 season, the forward played 38 matches for the club, scored 19 goals and made 12 assists.
