Joseba Etxeberria, new Eibar coach

Joseba Etxeberria (Elgoibar, 1977) will be the new coach of Sociedad Deportiva Eibar next season 2023-2024. The Basque coach arrives at the gunsmith club after having directed Mirandés the last two seasons in LaLiga SmartBank.The one from Elgoibar replaces Gaizka Garitano in office.
He had previously trained the Bilbao Athletic (19/20 and 20/21), Tenerife, Amorebieta, Basconia, He was Valverde’s second at Athletic Club the 15/16 campaign, and also directed different Athletic Club youth academy teams.
At the helm of CD Mirandés, Etxeberria has comfortably achieved permanence, the main objective of the team from Burgos. This season the jabato team has finished in 16th position in the standings, eight points above relegation. The previous season, 21/22, they finished fourteenth, nine points above relegation.
Together with Etxeberria they also end up in the Eibar entity Jorge Perezhis second coach, and the former Eibar player Louis Prietoas a physical trainer.
