Mbappe says Messi who left PSG did not get the respect he deserved in France
Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe has spoken out about the departure of the Argentinean Lionel Messi from the club. His words lead to Twitter journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Mbappe called Messi one of the greatest players in the history of football. “It’s never good news when someone like Messi leaves. I don’t quite understand why so many people were so relieved by his passing. He didn’t get the respect he deserved in France.”
On June 7, Messi announced a move to American Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami, owned by former England international David Beckham. The three-year agreement is expected to be formally signed on July 1.
Since 2021, Messi has been playing for the French PSG. His contract with the Parisians ran until June 2023 with the option of a one-season extension. Prior to that, the striker played for Barcelona throughout his career. As part of the Catalans, he won the Spanish championship ten times and won the Champions League four times.
