CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev answered a question about his retirement. His words are given on the website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
The football player recalled that his contract with the army team is valid until the summer of 2024. “Many people say that it is time to finish. But I’m not going to finish and I’ll still please at least my family with my game, ”he said.
Earlier, Akinfeev was recognized as the best goalkeeper of the 2022/2023 season of the Russian Premier League (RPL). He also won the “Best Assist of the Season” nomination for an assist made in the match against Sochi in the second round.
