Traumatologist called flat feet a contraindication to playing football
Traumatologist Olesya Arslanova named contraindications for professional football in children. Her words are quoted by Sport-Express.
The specialist said that with flat feet, children can play football, hockey and basketball only at an amateur level. “These sports require increased activity and endurance, therefore they are contraindicated for children with severe flat feet,” Arslanova said.
The doctor added that it is important to choose the right shoes for training, as well as take time to warm up before class. Otherwise, according to her, problems with the feet may worsen.
Earlier, RBC experts named exercises that help improve football results. According to them, the fitness program for football players should be built on the development of a good aerobic base, flexibility and speed. For this, walking and jogging, lunges and squats, as well as plyometric exercises are suitable.
