Botafogo’s dream, James Rodríguez would have defined his future as the newest reinforcement of the Boca Juniors. According to information provided by journalist Javier Hernández Bonnet, from Colombian radio Bluthe midfielder will play in Argentine football after a group of businessmen bought the player’s rights to take him to Argentina.
“The story is very simple: several businessmen met. One of them has links with European football, with interests in Spanish football. He is a man who manages capital very well and is living in Argentina”, began the press professional.
The journalist also explained the details of the deal: James would play for Boca and then be taken back to spanish football.
“The proposal was to buy the player’s rights, a contract with a significant amount of money, which is very close (to the proposal) that Botafogo would have done. The task was to take the player and make him play for a giant in Argentina, before taking it back to football in Spain”.
According to Bonnet, James Rodríguez will sign with Boca Juniors for three seasons. “It would be a three-year contract, the operation is set up. The businessmen make a great effort”.
The athlete is without a club after terminating his contract with Olympiacos, from Greece, in April this year. At the moment, he wants to define his future as soon as possible, so that he can be present in the squad of the Colombian national team for the South American Qualifiers.
