O Real Madrid made official on their social networks this Friday the return of left-back Fran García, 23 years old. The player belonged to the base categories of the merengue club, but defended Rayo Vallecano in the last three seasons.
Fran García joined Real Madrid in 2013, aged 14, and stayed there until 2020. Out of space, he was loaned to Rayo Vallecano, who soon acquired him permanently for 2 million euros (about R$ 10 million). . Over there, there were more than 120 games played, with five goals and eight assists.
To count on his services again, the Madrid team would disburse 10 million euros (R$ 52 million), but added a resale clause and will pay half of this amount (R$ 26 million). Even so, the team had to offer a larger amount than it had profited in the past.

In a press conference during the current season, coach Carlo Ancelotti had already indicated the return of Fran García in the near future. The Spaniard has signed a four-year contract with the club – until June 2027.
“Fran García is a full-back with a lot of energy. He is very quick with the ball and attacks very well. He is a very good and interesting profile for Real Madrid and next year he will be with us”, said the commander.
The new reinforcement could come in handy as a less mediatic solution for Real Madrid’s left flank. With the injuries and low performance of Frenchman Ferland Mendy, Ancelotti was forced to improvise midfielder Camavinga in the position throughout last season.
