Guardiola could match Ferguson and Trapattoni in number of European titles

O Manchester City face this Saturday Inter Milanat 4 pm (Brasília time), due to the great decision of the Champions League. The England team could make history this weekend as they have never won Europe’s premier continental tournament and could become just the second English team in history to win the Triple Crown.

However, this Saturday will not only be marked by the collective success of the club. Coach Pep Guardiola, one of the most successful coaches in history, is increasingly consolidating himself as a legend of the sport. The Spanish coach can win his 36th official title and sixth continental trophy, equaling the mark of Alex Ferguson and Giovanni Trapattoni in Europe. Only Carlo Ancelotti is ahead of both, with eight European titles.

In his career, Guardiola has two Champions League titles (2008/09 and 2010/11 with Barcelona) and three UEFA Super Cup titles (2009 and 2011 with Barcelona and 2013 with Bayern).

In the list of most winning coaches in the history of football, Pep Guardiola comes in third, behind only Sir Alex Ferguson, who has 49 trophies, and the Romanian Mircea Lucescu, with 37 achievements.
