Former PSG footballer Rothen says Lionel Messi has been out of his mind in training
Former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) football player Jerome Rotin criticized Lionel Messi for his attitude to training. His words are quoted by RMC Sport.
Rothen recalled how once Messi left a training session, and the club blamed a calf injury. “It was all a lie, an absolute lie. Cause? He was fed up with what was offered to him in training. He was out of his mind, so he left, ”said the athlete.
Rothen said that the forward often wanted to change the rhythm of training, telling the staff that morning sessions should be replaced with afternoon training. “It shows that he wanted to change some things and didn’t want to adapt,” he concluded.
