Motina said that the med ball, a special heavy ball, is designed for functional loads, and its use brings an element of play to training. “The peculiarity of working with the ball is that you can pump not only strength and endurance, but also agility. Within the walls of the club, it is not so easy to choose exercises for this skill, but with a medicine ball, this task is greatly simplified, ”explained the expert.
The trainer noted that the medicine ball can be used to perform crunches, push-ups, and a glute bridge. You can also throw the ball at the wall. “Take a medicine ball based on the tasks that you set for yourself. For example, to work out the abdominal muscles, a ball weighing from one to five kilograms is suitable. If you want to strengthen the shoulder girdle, you can take heavier ones – from six to eight kilograms, ”the specialist added.
Earlier, coach Maxim Musaev called bad sports habits. He drew attention to the fact that strength training with maximum weights negatively affects the joints and overloads the central nervous system.
