According to the source, the specialist complained of high blood pressure and poor health. Doctors offered Tarasova hospitalization, but she refused.
On June 5, Mash reported that Tarasova urgently needed the help of doctors. It was noted that the coach called an ambulance with complaints of high blood pressure and nausea, but refused hospitalization. It was also clarified that similar calls were made on June 2 and May 24.
Tarasova was awarded the title of Honored Coach of the USSR in 1975. She was inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2008. Among her students were Olympic champions Irina Rodnina and Alexei Yagudin.
