With one less, Bragantino concedes a draw to Estudiantes, but remains leader of Group C in Sudamericana

O Red Bull Bragantino entered the field this Wednesday night against Estudiantes-ARG, for the fifth round of the Copa Sudamericana. The match, which took place at the Jorge Luis Hirschi stadium, in La Plata (ARG), ended in a 1-1 draw. Eric Ramires scored the Brazilian goal, while Rollheiser (from the penalty spot) left everything the same.

Thus, Massa Bruta, which already has advancement to the next stage guaranteed, remains leader of Group C, with 11 points added – the same amount of the Argentine rival, who is behind, in second place, by goal difference (12 against 9 ). Tacuary-PAR, third place with three units, and Oriente Petrolero-BOL, lowest and with zero, complete the bracket.

Thus, the decision for first place, which guarantees a direct place in the round of 16 of the continental tournament, is left for the last round of the group stage.

In the next match for the Sul-Americana, therefore, Bragantino receives Tacuary, at 7 pm (Brasília time) on Wednesday (28), at the Nabi Abi Chedid Stadium, in Bragança Paulista (SP). At the same time, Estudiantes face Oriente Petrolero, again in La Plata.

Before that, however, Massa Bruta turns its attention to the tenth round of the Brazilian Championship. On Saturday, the São Paulo team will visit Atlético-MG, starting at 6:30 pm, at Mineirão, in Belo Horizonte (MG).

The match between Estudiantes and Bragantino

The first dangerous move by the Brazilians happened in the 14th minute of the match. Vitinho made a close cross in the area, but the defense diverted for a corner. The Argentine response came at 25, with a dangerous free kick.
