A Francesecond opponent of the Brazil in the group stage of the Women’s World Cup, announced this Tuesday the pre-call of coach Hervé Renard for the World Cup. Of the 26 chosen players, 23 will represent the country in the tournament. The French commander will cut three athletes after the preparatory friendlies.
One of the main highlights on the list is midfielder Amadine Henry, who has not represented her country since 2020. The player’s last goal with France’s shirt, including, was against the Brazilian national team in the French victory in the round of 16 of the World Cup in 2019. Since then, there have been only three appearances for his national team.
Before the Cup, France will play two preparatory friendlies. On July 6th, the French face Ireland and, on the 14th, the opponent will be Australia.
The debut in the World Cup for Hervé Renard’s men will be on July 23, against Jamaica. The match against Brazil takes place on the 29th of the same month. To close the group stage, France faces Panama, on August 2nd.
