Rostov head coach Valery Karpin called the most positive moment of the season ended in the Russian Premier League (RPL). His words are quoted by TASS.
The specialist said that for “Rostov” – this is an exit to fourth place in the standings of the championship of Russia. “For me as a coach, the fact that many of our young players have established themselves in the squad or are reaching some level, that’s all,” he added.
The top three RPL winners at the end of the 2022/2023 season included Zenit, CSKA and Spartak. Blue-white-blue secured the championship ahead of schedule in the 26th round. CSKA footballers secured the second place thanks to the victory over Rostov in the final round.
Karpin led the Rostov team in March 2022. He previously worked at the club from 2017 to 2021.
