Inzaghi says Inter Milan ‘not afraid’ of Manchester City

The technician of Inter MilanSimone Inzaghi, said this Monday that her team is not afraid of Manchester Cityopponent in the final of Champions Leaguewhich will be played next Saturday in Istanbul.

“It’s a football game, there’s nothing to be afraid of,” declared Inzaghi. “We respect (City) a lot but we are proud to play in this final because we want to win with all our might.”

Inter will have the difficult task of stopping the powerful attack of the Citizens, led by the Norwegian Erling Haaland, top scorer in the Champions League with 12 goals. Alessandro Bastoni is one of three defenders tasked with guarding Haaland.

“We are afraid of murderers, not players. It would be a mistake to talk about fear,” declared Bastoni. “It’s not Haaland against Inter, it’s Manchester City against Inter. There’s no fear, just a good level of tension”, concluded the defender.

On Saturday, Inter will play their first Champions League final since 2010, when they were champions over Bayern Munchen. Manchester City, on the other hand, wants to lift Ears for the first time and end the season with three titles, after winning the English Championship and the FA Cup.
