AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced his retirement. His words are quoted by TASS.
“I will be sweet all my life. It’s time to say goodbye to football, and not just to you, ”the 41-year-old athlete said after the Milan team’s match with Verona.
On June 3, Milan announced that Ibrahimovic would leave the club at the end of the 2022/2023 season. Earlier, the athlete said that motivates him to continue his career at 41. “I want to pay attention to others, I’m here for them, not for myself. If I did everything for myself, I would already be smoking cigars on the island,” he said.
Ibrahimovic joined AC Milan in 2020. He previously played for the team from 2010 to 2012. The striker is also known for playing for Ajax, Inter, Juventus, Barcelona, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and the Swedish national team. The striker is the top scorer in the history of the national team.
