The 24-year-old celebrated the new contract and praised United, where he has been playing since 2018. Revealed by Porto, Dalot arrived in England at a young age and had a loan spell at Milan before returning to the team.
“Playing for Manchester United is one of the greatest honors you can have in football. We’ve shared some fantastic moments over the last five years, and I’ve grown a lot and my passion for this amazing club has only grown since the day I arrived.”
“Diogo is an excellent defender, with a great combination of pace, strength and versatility. He has been developing consistently, improving year on year since he joined the club,” praised John Murtough, director of football at the club.
This season, Dalot played in 42 opportunities, scoring two goals and distributing three assists. The full-back competes with Wan-Bisaka on the right for the FA Cup final against Manchester United. The duel will take place this Saturday at 11 am (from Brasilia).
