Arsenal launches new shirt for next season inspired by the year of the last English title

This Monday, the Arsenal released the team’s first uniform for the 2023/2024 season along with Adidas. The new uniform is inspired by the 20th anniversary of the “Invincibles” season, the year in which the Gunners won the Premier League undefeated.

The shirt features a bold new shade of red contrasted with white sleeves and a lightning bolt pattern that flows vertically from top to bottom. The Arsenal crest, the adidas logo and the 3-Stripes that run down the sleeves appear in gold.

The record achieved by the team, then led by Arsene Wenger, of 26 wins and 12 draws in 38 matches in the historic season, is displayed on the side of the authentic version of the kit.

“Playing that season twenty years ago, surrounded by incredible players, is something I will never forget and it’s great to see that we are celebrating our team’s history with this new home shirt. It’s something I think all the fans will love.” , said Ray Parlou, the club’s idol.

Arsenal ended the season without winning any titles. Despite having had a good Premier League campaign, ending the tournament in second place, with 84 points, four less than champions Manchester City, the team led by Mikel Arteta wavered in the final stretch, letting slip the title chance that it nurtured for some rounds.

Ending the season, the team thrashed Wolverhampton, in the last round of the English, by 5-0.
