Beer thrown at former UFC champion Conor McGregor at boxing match in Dublin
A glass of beer was thrown at former UFC champion Conor McGregor at a boxing evening in Dublin, Ireland. The video appeared on the FightHype.com YouTube channel.
The incident happened on May 20th. The Irishman came to the tournament to cheer for compatriot Katie Taylor. During the announcement of the result of the fight, in which Taylor lost to Briton Shantel Cameron, one of the spectators from the back rows threw a glass of beer at the back of McGregor standing at the ring.
Previously, McGregor announced the date of his next fight. He said he plans to fight American Michael Chandler before the end of 2023.
McGregor last fought in the summer of 2021, losing to American Dustin Poirier by technical knockout. The Irishman suffered a broken leg, from which he is still recovering. In total, McGregor has 28 fights in which he won 22 victories and suffered six defeats.
