Coach Tatyana Tarasova: let State Duma deputy Teryushkov sit in his place and not chirp
Honored coach of the USSR in figure skating Tatyana Tarasova responded to State Duma deputy Roman Teryushkov who criticized her. Her words are quoted by Sport-Express.
“What does he have to do with us? God be his judge. It would be better if he went about his business, and not discussed us. Let him sit in his place and not chirp!” – said the specialist. In her opinion, Teryushkov does not understand what the work of coaches and athletes is.
On May 26, Tarasova said that there was no need to boycott international competitions and that athletes should not be encouraged to do so. She agreed with the opinion of coach Alexander Zhulin, who criticized the State Duma deputies for such slogans. After that, Teryushkov said in an interview with Metaratings that Russia does not need such coaches.
On March 28, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that Belarusians and Russians who did not support the special operation in Ukraine be allowed to compete in a neutral status. At the same time, athletes associated with the armed forces or security agencies of their countries are recommended to be suspended from participating in starts.
