Argentina faced New Zealand this Friday, for the U-20 World Cup, thrashed the opponent by 5-0 and advanced to the round of 16. The result was built by Ignacio Maestro Puch, Gino Infantino, Luka Romero, Brian Aguirre and Alejo Véliz.
The result meant that the selection ended the group stage as leader of group A, with nine points and 100% success rate. In the key, who also advanced was Uzbekistan, with four units, which beat Guatemala by 2-0.
Argentina opened the scoring in the 13th minute with Puch, who, after a beautiful move by Aguirre, headed in to score. Afterwards, it was Infantino’s turn to receive from Romero and expand. At 34, it was Romero’s turn to score. The player advanced free to attack and sent a bomb from afar.
In the second stage, at five minutes, Aguirre called the responsibility to take the penalty and converted. At 41, Véliz closed the scoring.
Who also entered the field were the participants of group B. Ecuador and the United States advanced to the round of 16.
The Ecuadorians dominated Fiji this Friday and scored 9-0. The scorers were Justin Cuero (2x), Alan Minda (2x), Cristopher Zambrano (2x), Tommy Chamba, Kendry Paez and Jose Klinger.
