Russian Yana Sizikova and American Sabrina Santamaria won the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Rabat (Morocco) in doubles. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
In the final match, they played with the Belarusian Lydia Morozova and the Brazilian Ingrid Martins. The meeting ended with the score 3:6, 6:1, 10:8. Tennis players spent 1 hour and 28 minutes on the court.
Sizikova is ranked 50th in the WTA doubles rankings. The 28-year-old Russian woman has three titles in doubles. For Santamaria, which is on the 76th line of the rating, this is the second victory in the organization’s tournaments in pairs.
Earlier, the Paris prosecutor’s office finally closed the criminal case against Sizikova. She was detained in June 2021 on suspicion of deliberately losing a doubles match at Roland Garros in 2020, but was later released from custody.
