Former CSKA football player Taranov said that beer does not help to recover faster
Former CSKA Moscow football player Ivan Taranov spoke about a popular misconception about the benefits of beer for the recovery of athletes. It is reported by Sport24.
According to him, sweet water is better suited for these purposes. “I even felt it myself. When I drink beer after the game, I’m broken in the morning. And if we just eat well, I drink more simple water (or even sweet) – I don’t feel tired! Taranov noted.
The ex-football player added that his feelings were confirmed during training as a coach. “The misconception that beer helps you recover faster. From generation to generation, this all went on, but without analysis, ”said Taranov.
The football player played for CSKA from 2003 to 2007. As part of the team, he became a two-time champion of Russia.
