Russian boxer Artur Beterbiev revealed the details of the fight with Briton Callum Smith. The athlete wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
“There are several months of preparation ahead, and I hope that everything will go as it should. It will be a glorious fight. See you on August 19,” Beterbiev announced. The meeting will take place at the Videotron Center arena in Quebec, Canada.
On January 29, Beterbiev fought British Anthony Yarde and defeated him by technical knockout in the eighth round. He defended three world titles in the light heavyweight category: according to the World Boxing Council (WBC), the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and the World Boxing Organization (WBO).
In total, the 38-year-old Russian won 19 victories in his career and did not suffer a single defeat. The 33-year-old Smith has 30 wins and one defeat.
