Revealed in the base categories of Corinthians, left-back Carlos Augusto is drawing attention with good performances in Italy. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, Juventus are interested in signing the Brazilian for next season.
With six goals scored and five assists, Carlos Augusto was one of the main highlights of Monza, which occupies eighth place in the Italian Championship, with 52 points. The team fights with Juventus itself for a place in European competition.
The possible signing of the 24-year-old winger would be an attempt to renew Juve’s defensive sector, which already has Brazilians Bremer, Danilo and Alex Sandro. Carlos Augusto can also play on the left wing, in a three-back formation.
According to the Italian newspaper, the Brazilian is one of Juventus’ favorite targets in the next transfer window. The good relationship between the boards of the clubs and Carlos Augusto’s “affordable” salary would be factors favorable to a Bianconera onslaught.

A sale by the Brazilian would yield financial rewards for Corinthians, his parent club. Timão traded Carlos Augusto to Monza in 2020 for 4 million euros and agreed that he would keep 60% of the Italians’ profit in a future resale.
Carlos Augusto arrived at Corinthians in 2011 to work for the youth teams. Champion of the Paulistão U-13, Copa do Brasil U-17 and Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, he joined Timão’s main team in 2018 and was part of winning the Paulista championship of 2019.
