Two days after suffering racist attacks in a match for Real Madrid, Vinicius Jr. has received support from various figures in world football. This Tuesday, the Brazilian was honored by his compatriot Raphinha, who plays for Barcelona.
Raphinha was the starter in Barcelona’s 3-1 loss to Real Valladolid. In the 16th minute of the second half, he was substituted and, as he left the field, he took off his shirt and revealed a message of support for Vini Jr.
“While the color of the skin is more important than the brightness of the eyes, there will be war”, wrote Raphinha on the front of the shirt. “TMJ (we’re together) Vini Jr.”, it read on the back.

Before the start of the game, a campaign against racism was promoted by La Liga. Players from both teams lined up carrying a banner with an anti-racist message: “racists, out of football”.
Last Sunday, Vinรญcius Jr. suffered racist attacks in the match between Valencia and Real Madrid. The attacker even identified a fan who had offended him and the duel was paralyzed. At the end of the game, the Brazilian fell out with opposing players and was grabbed by the neck by Hugo Duro. When trying to break free, he ended up hitting his hand in his face and was expelled.
