Ukrainian boxer Vasily Lomachenko criticized the American Devin Haney who defeated him
Ukrainian boxer Vasily Lomachenko criticized the absolute world champion American Devin Haney, who defeated him at a tournament in the United States. The athlete’s words are quoted by the Top Rank Boxing YouTube channel.
“Before the fight, I thought he would be better, but now I don’t know. He is a good fighter, but he is not a P4P level (the strongest boxer regardless of weight categories – approx. “Tapes.ru”),” said Lomachenko. The athlete’s team said they would file a protest against the result of the fight.
The Ukrainian lost to Haney by unanimous decision. The fight took place in Las Vegas and lasted all 12 rounds. Thus, the American defended the World Boxing Council (WBC), World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), WBA Super and The Ring world titles.
In total, the 35-year-old Lomachenko won 17 victories and suffered three losses in his career. The 24-year-old Haney has 30 wins and no losses.
